The Guangxi Sports Center is located in the core area of Wuxiang New District in Nanning, and is the largest and highest standard comprehensive sports landmark in Guangxi. Construction began in 2007, the main stadium was put into use in 2010, and it was fully completed in 2014.

The total area is about 2000 acres, with a construction area of 508000 square meters. It consists of a main sports stadium, gymnasium, swimming and diving hall, and tennis center. The main sports stadium has 60000 seats, and the sports arena has approximately 10000 seats.

The design is based on the concept of "green leaves" and incorporates elements of Zhuang embroidery balls, creating a modern and elegant appearance. It can host international events and large-scale performances, and has hosted important events such as the 2017 China Cup. It is a cultural and sports exchange platform for ASEAN.
